Orders, Execution, and Fees
BitFrog Trading Terminal supports market orders, limit orders, conditional orders, and take-profit and stop-loss instructions. These are available to 2-Step and 1-Step challenge and funded accounts and Instant funded accounts, subject to each account's limits. Check Tradable Instruments and Leverage for available pairs, leverage, and order sizes.
| Order type | How execution works |
|---|---|
| Market order | Seeks execution at the current available market price. Market moves and depth can make the fill price differ from the price displayed when the order was placed. |
| Limit order | May execute at the specified price or a better one if there is enough available liquidity. It may remain unfilled or fill only partly. |
| Conditional order | Submits the chosen order type after its trigger condition is met. Account status, margin, position, and pair limits still apply. |
| Take-profit / stop-loss | Submits an order when triggered; the same limits must be met for execution. |
Submission, Triggering, and Execution Are Different
WARNING
A submitted order is not necessarily an executed order. A triggered instruction is not necessarily an executed order either. A conditional or take-profit / stop-loss instruction may fail to execute after triggering if account status, margin, position, or pair limits prevent it. Check both order and execution records for the final result.
Unfilled and canceled orders create neither a position nor trading P&L or execution fees.
Which Rules Use Execution Results?
- Valid trading days: Only the notional value of executed orders counts. Unfilled, canceled, and untriggered orders do not. See Profit Targets and Valid Trading Days.
- Loss limits: Realized P&L and unrealized P&L on open positions are calculated from actual executions. An unfilled order or reserved margin is not itself a trading loss. See Maximum Daily Loss and Maximum Account Loss.
Slippage and Partial Fills
Market orders, triggered orders, and positions closed by risk controls may experience slippage during fast markets, thin liquidity, or price gaps. The trigger price or displayed price is not guaranteed as the execution price. An order may fill in several parts if available liquidity is limited. Only the executed portion determines the resulting position, fees, and P&L.
The actual execution price also affects whether a loss limit is reached and the notional value counted toward a valid trading day. The product's loss percentages and thresholds do not change merely because the executed price differs from the expected price.
Trading and Funding Fees
| Execution type | Current trading fee |
|---|---|
| Maker | 0.02% |
| Taker | 0.05% |
Trading fees are calculated on executed notional value. A limit order is not always charged at the Maker rate: if it immediately matches an existing order, the Taker rate applies. Check the terminal and execution record for the actual rate and deduction.
A position held across a pair's funding settlement time may pay or receive funding at the applicable rate. The terminal and account records show the rate, time, and amount. Trading and funding fees affect net P&L, equity, challenge targets, and eligible payout profits.
TIP
If you see a pricing error, market interruption, duplicate execution, or inconsistent order, execution, and position records, avoid adding new risk, save the records, and request an investigation under Issue Review and Appeals.
